Arlene Jura

Arlene Jura, 78, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed on December 5, 2016.  She was born August 5, 1938 in Whittier, California, to David H. & Onalee (Lane) Abernathey.  She lived most of her life in Bates City, Missouri, working as a housewife, mother of five, grandmother of five, and great-grandmother of two.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James E. Jura; sister, Laura; and brother, Jake.  She is survived by five children: daughter, Faye Ann and husband Ted Burris of Kansas City, Kansas; son, James E. Jura Jr. and wife Diane of Odessa, Missouri; daughter, Bobbi and husband Danny Hughes of Independence, Missouri; daughter, Karen and husband Russell LeMonds of Elsmere, Kansas; son, John Jura of Odessa; five grandchildren: Janna Burris, Johnathon Burris, Amber Jura, Steven Yates, Dustin Griffin; two great-grandchildren, Cyla Mixon and Davyon Mixon; and two sisters, Laura Kirchner and Shirley Shaw, both of Iowa.
