Brian L. Jacobson

Brian Lee Jacobson passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri on Thursday, November 28th at the age of 64 after a long battle with congestive heart failure. 

Brian is survived by his Mother Floy Jacobson (nee Davis) his brothers Dale (Melody), Greg (Tricia) and Joe Jr. (Heather) Jacobson, many nephews and nieces and Great Nephews and Nieces.

He is predeceased by his Father Joseph Jacobson and Grandparents Dale and Virginia Davis. 

Brian was born in Bethany Hospital on January 15th, 1960. He grew up in Southeast Kansas City and graduated from Hickman Mills High school in 1978. At the age of 21 he enlisted in the United States Army, and was then assigned to the Army air base in Wiesbaden, Germany. Brian enjoyed his time in the service. It was his proudest accomplishment and he never failed to thank Veterans for their service. Following a medical discharge in 1983 Brian eventually attended the North Central Kansas Technical College where he received a certificate in HVAC. Eventually he took a job with KDOT in Sharon Springs, Kansas and enjoyed working for the highway department. 

Brian loved sports and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs. Family was very important to him. Holidays were an especially fun time for him.

Brian was able to see and visit with his family before he passed away.

A celebration of Life is planned for him at Foxwood Springs in Raymore, Missouri, on Saturday, December 21st.  He will be laid to rest in Norton, Kansas at a later time TBD. He will be deeply missed by family friends and all who knew him.
