Bryan R. Gerdes

Bryan Robert Gerdes, 53, of Independence, MO passed away August 12, 2022 at his home.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2022 at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence, MO.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Bryan Robert Gerdes was born May 18th, 1969, in Omaha, NE the son of Robert Gerdes and Cynthia (Gardner) Gerdes.

He was proceeded in death by this parents, grandparents and great nephew Evan White.

Bryan leaves behind his wife Carla Frazier Gerdes; daughter Sabrina Gerdes; son James Hoaglin (Erica); sister Michelle Gerdes Harvey (Larry); niece Kara White; nephews Trevor Hill, Alexander Harvey; uncle Charles Gerdes (Kay); aunt Susan McCants and aunt Susan Gerdes Murphy (Bill).

He loved the lake, fishing, hunting, cars, friends, family and parties to get everyone together. He is the glue that held a lot of hearts and families together. He opened his heart and hands for anyone who needed it. He was a jack of all trades, especially when it came to building, fabricating and fixings anything.
