Charles “Chuck” Allan Smith, 68 of Independence, MO passed away January 16, 2022.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at New Salem Cemetery; Independence, MO.

Chuck was born October 16, 1953 in Drexel, MO to Roy N & Myrna E. (Lusk) Smith.

He married Linda L. Miller on April 9, 1983. Chuck loves Sprint Car Racing. He loved his work at Mid Continent Customs Electronics. Chuck’s other hobbies that he enjoyed were gardening, cooking, BBQing, fixing and repairing things. Chuck especially loved spending time with his granddaughter.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents: Roy & Myrna Smith; sister: Lana K. Smith; father & mother-in-law: Bill & Bernice Miller; sister-in-law: Gladys Dryer.

Chuck is survived by his wife Linda of the home; son: Charles Smith, Jr of Independence, MO; granddaughter: Mackenzie Smith of Independence, MO; Aunt & Uncle Jim & Barbara Smith of Lake Annette, MO and several extended family members.
