Born on Friday, November 7, 2003, Christian brought with him a light that brightened the life of everyone around him. Growing up in Kansas City, Missouri, he attended Border Star Montessori before moving to Grain Valley where he established his roots. He cherished his relationships with family, friends, teachers, and coaches. Whether it was running the ball on the football field, hurdling in track, co-hosting the school news, managing the speech and debate team, or singing with the show choir, Christian was always enjoying life. He had an infectious smile that melted hearts and created an aura of warmth and comfort. Whether it was someone he had known his whole life or someone he met 10 seconds before, he made others feel as though they had known him for years. Christian made the best out of the worst, always putting others before himself. He ensured others felt seen, heard, and included. Christian was a void filler who lit up any room he walked into and will be missed.
Christian is survived by his siblings William Lanear, Brandon Lanear, and Brooklyn Lanear, parents Chris Lanear and Jess Briggs maternal grandparents, Joe and Laura Haynes, and paternal grandmother, Eangelia Williams. The legacy that he has left behind is larger than life and will live on for years to come. Honor him by smiling more and loving on those around you. You know, doing what Christian would do.
