Clifton L. Nix
Clifton Lester Nix, 83, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18th at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove, MO; burial in Lone Jack Cemetery, Lone Jack, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Clifton was born January 12, 1939, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a mechanic for the Kansas City ATA. Clifton loved nature and enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking and leather making. Clifton’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. He would help anyone including the community.
Clifton was preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnn Nix; his second wife, Doris Nix; daughter, Donna Fields; and son, Charley Nix.
His survivors include four children: Charlotte Barrington (Chris), Clifton Nix (Melissa), Lisa Dolan (Steve), and Pam Smith (Chris); sixteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
