Cory C. Corkins

Cory Clinton Corkins, 45, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019.  Services will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Blue Springs Christian Church: Visitation from 6-7 pm, memorial service at 7 pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to his children’s education in care of Sarah Corkins.

Cory was born November 4, 1973 in Wichita, KS, the son of Phillip & Cindy (McCray) Corkins.  He married Sarah L. Phipps on August 8, 1998.  Cory was a member of the Blue Springs Christian Church, where he served as custodian. He enjoyed playing video games with his nephew and watching North Carolina basketball (he was a Roy Williams fan).  He also enjoyed quoting movie dialog and making people laugh.

His survivors include his wife, Sarah Corkins, a daughter, Hope Corkins, and a son, Xander Corkins, all of the home; his parents, Phillip & Cindy Corkins of Lacompton, KS; a brother, Kyle Corkins (Kim) of Eudora, KS; and father & mother-in-law, Michael & Judith Phipps of Blue Springs.
