Dennis W. Byrd
Dennis Wayne Byrd, 79, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024. Memorial services will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24th at Grace Methodist Church in Oak Grove, MO. In lieu flowers, contributions may be made to Grace Methodist Church in Oak Grove, OG Animal Shelter, or KC Pet Project.
Dennis was born February 18, 1944, in Deepwater, MO, the son of Lewis and Frances (Evans) Byrd. He owned and operated a salvage yard, and loved auctions and collecting antiques. He also loved animals and adopted many dogs over his lifetime.
Dennis’ survivors include his wife, Fay Byrd of the home; stepdaughter, Holly Scarborough (Dwayne Meyers) of Oak Grove, MO; brother, James Byrd (Sandy) of SC; and two nephews, Geroge and Jason Byrd. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Johnson.
