
Donna L. Cutbirth
On September 6, 2016, with her loving husband Daniel holding her hand, Donna Lorraine Cutbirth, age 63 of Independence Mo., was guided to heaven by God’s angels. Visitation will be Saturday September 10, 2016 at Harmony Heights Baptist Church, Independence MO from 10-11 am. Funeral at 11am. Burial will be at New Salem Cemetery following the service. Memorials may be made in Donna’s name to The Harmony Heights Church or Missouri Right to Life.
Donna was born June 3, 1953 in Toronto, Canada to Jack and Pearl Goldthorpe and was married to Daniel Cutbirth on Valentine’s Day, 1973. They spent 43 happy years together raising two fine sons and spoiling four wonderful grandchildren. She worked for Fort Osage Public Schools and at Quest Diagnostics. Donna was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer December, 1994 and was given three months to live, but God had other plans for her. Twenty two years later, she leaves thousands of people in awe who were witness to her strength, courage and, gentle kindness.
Left behind to miss her are her mother, Pearl Goldthorpe, brother Ken Goldthorpe (Bonnie), sisters Evelyn (John) Crocker and Denise Foster. She also leaves her husband Daniel Cutbirth, sons Jeffrey (Tamara) and Scott (Kristin) Cutbirth, grandchildren David, Benjamin, Elizabeth and Scottie Cutbirth. And so many cousins, nephews, nieces, friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Goldthorpe and sister, Gail Shields.
