Dorothy A. Taylor
Dorothy A. Taylor, 69, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away on July 3, 2017 surrounded by her family. Private inurnment will take place Thursday, July 13th. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, July 22nd at First Bible Baptist Church in Blue Springs. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
Dorothy was born December 16, 1947 in Fillmore, Missouri. She had been married to Kenneth Taylor since January of 1968. Dorothy retired from First Federal Bank after 16 years of service. Since her retirement she enjoyed camping, gardening, babysitting, reading, and just being with family. She also was an active member of First Bible Baptist Church of Blue Springs.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, George and Lola Slagley, as well as her brothers, George Gumm, and Charles McCall.
Her survivors include her husband of 49 years, Kenneth Taylor; two daughters, Kim Hocker (Marschel) and Tracy Taylor (David); two grandchildren, Lindsey Taylor and Brendon Taylor; one great-grandson, Keegan; sister, Wilma Cooper (Jim); brother, Lee Slagley (Donna); as well as many friends. She was very much loved and will be greatly missed.
