Edith J. Sisk

Edith June Greer Sisk, 90 of Buckner, MO passed on June 24, 2022 at home with her family with her.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home; Independence, MO. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial at New Salem Cemetery.

Edith was born June 14, 1932 in Alton, MO. She was the youngest child of William Franklin Greer and Chloe Angeline McElmurry Greer. Edith married Cleo Sisk on October 15, 1949. Edith was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on March 23, 1963 and has remained faithful to her dedication until her death.

Edith is survived by 7 children: Gary Sisk & wife Gloria, Yvonne Sisk, Janet Sisk, Dwight Sisk & wife Debbie, Brenda Kent, Anita Sisk, Clifford Sisk & wife Yolanda; 29 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a host of family friends.

Edith was preceded in death by her husband: Cleo Sisk; parents: William & Chloe Greer; 3 sisters: Lucy Johnson, Elizabeth Hogan, Lois Goode; 3 brothers: Robert Greer, Raymon Greer and Roy Greer.
