Edward Morales

Edward Morales, 70, of Independence, Missouri passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021.

Visitation will be 10am-12pm Friday, July 16, 2021. Mass to follow at 12:00pm at  St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church 2200 N Blue Mills Rd., Independence, MO  64058. Burial at New Salem Cemetery.

Edward was born December 24, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri to George and Carmen (Bernal) Morales. He was a member of the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus. Edward worked for over 35 years at the Lipton Tea Company. He loved watching his grandchildren in their sports activities. Edward enjoyed spending lots of time with his family, having game nights and he especially enjoyed playing dominoes.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen who passed away on July 20, 2018; his mother and one brother.

Edward is survived by his four children: Stephanie Marriott (Mickey) of Independence, MO, Edward Morales Jr. of Kansas City, MO, Erik Morales (Erica) of Belton, MO and Vincent Morales (Kelly) of Independence, MO; five grandchildren: Mercedes, Dominic, Shayle, Malia, and Brooklyn; father, George Morales of Kansas City, MO; sister, Jennifer Madrueno of Kansas City, MO; and brother, Vincent Ivy of Kansas City, KS.
