Frankie G. Martin

Frankie Gerald Martin, 87, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016 also at the funeral home; burial following in Valley Memorial Gardens.

Frankie was born on June 30, 1929, son of Warren and Cleta (Barker) Martin. Frankie worked for Ford Motor Company for 38 years; retiring as a foreman. He was a devoted family man, wood worker, the local neighborhood lawn mower in Blue Springs, and he loved garage sales.

Frankie is preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister; 5 brothers; and 1 step granddaughter, Anna Applegate. His survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Martin of the home; son, Danny (Susan) Martin of Blue Springs, MO; daughter, Barbara (Ken Manwarren) Lane of Richmond, KS; granddaughter, Anita Duffy Martin of Aloha, OR; 3 step-grandchildren, Jason Applegate, Shauna Douglass, and Hailey Sterrett; and 6 step great-grandchildren.
