Gary D. Uttech

Gary Dennis Uttech, 85, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away at home on Friday, December 1, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones.

Gary was born August 21, 1938 in Milwaukee Wisconsin, the son of Gerhardt Otto and Adelaide Helen (Werve) Uttech. After graduating high school, Gary honorably served in the Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Bon Homme Richard from 1956 to 1959, he was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and the Dale Carnegie School. In 1976 Gary met and married his beloved Susan and they were happily married for 47 years. In 1983 Gary founded his own company, U-Tech Adhesives Systems.

Gary loved to travel in the islands of the Caribbean with Susan and friends. He also enjoyed playing golf, bowling and spending time with his friends and family. Gary was a lifelong member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, a member of St. George’s Catholic Church in Odessa, Mo and contributed to many local and national charities. Gary was very outgoing and always the life of the party, he will be greatly missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Kathleen Shilts.

Gary is survived by his wife, Susan Uttech of the home; daughter, Reggie Keen; daughter, Vicky diLorenzo; daughter, Pam (Randy) Ashworth; daughter, Robin (Tim) Corcoran; son, Rick (Joyce Moore) Ford; daughter, Lynn (Todd) Thirion; daughter, Colleen (Mark) Ries; and grandchildren Whitney Findley, Austin Ford, Brianna Whited, Tim Corcoran, Tom Corcoran, Erin Roberts, Sean Corcoran, Drew Thirion, Alex Thirion, Brad Kabak, Greg Kabak, Danielle Uttech, Krista Keen, Michael Keen, Gabrielle diLorenzo, Ron diLorenzo Jr, and Michelle diLorenzo,

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
