
Gerald L. Fischer
Gerald Lee Fischer, 78, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Visitation, with Military Honors Ceremony, will be held at the Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, on October 19, 2024, from 10 am-12 pm, with a Celebration of Life to follow at East Forty Brewing in Blue Springs, from 1-4 pm. Gerald was born January 3, 1946 in Waverly, Missouri to Martin and Dorothy J. (Girken/ Fischer) Mowery. He served in the Navy from 1964 to 1970 when he was honorably discharged. He was a General Contractor who built several homes in the Blue Springs area and then numerous various restaurants all over the U.S. and Puerto Rico. His passions were FLYING his airplanes, farming, making fruit wine, and when his Parkinsons wouldn’t allow him to fly any longer, he started a business that converted 2-wheeled motorcycles to trikes. He took great pride in converting motorcycles for others who could no longer ride the 2-wheeled motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Tom Fischer and David Mowery.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Gail of 47 years, of the home; daughter, Dawn (Bam) Bevel; sons, Craig Fischer and Scott (Brenda) Fischer; daughter, Regina (Matt) Kempf; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
