Gerry B. Spears
Gerry Brent Spears, 70, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29th at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home, Independence. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Gerry was born on June 28, 1948, in Appleton city, Missouri, the son of Rollie and Jean (Taylor) spears. He was a simple and hardworking man. Gerry worked as an Advertising Executive for the Thrifty Nickel for over 30 years. He was a huge sports fan and loved going bowling. Gerry will be deeply missed by his family.
His survivors include his daughter, Nikki String (Nikki) of Independence; four grandchildren: Cierra, Anna, Hailie, and Hunter; and one great-granddaughter, Everleigh. He was preceded in death by his parents.
