Jack N. Raney

Jack Norman Raney, 88, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Jack was born June 29, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri. The son of Stanley Marvin and Opal Fern (Armstrong) Raney. He was a loving family orientated person. Jack retired from University of Arizona Hospital after 30 years. His retirement added new interest such as reading and watching the political and world news. Jack was the type of person that would drop everything to help anyone. He was not afraid to tackle any project or task around the house, whether it is inside or outside. Jack enjoyed sightseeing, hunting, and exploring out of the way places. Give him a sign that says “Do Not Enter” or “Dead End” …he will travel it. He and June loved vacationing in their fifth wheel and spending time in their Time Share. Jack enjoyed all types of food as well, Mexican or anything with hot hot peppers were his favorite.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; two sisters; and one grandchild.

Jack is survived by his wife of 43 years, June Raney, of the home; three daughters: Vicki Pittier (Don), Jackie Gifford (Steve) and Becky Knootz (Hank); son, Allen Raney (Ronda); step-daughter, Kristi Gibson; step-son, Keith Bartet; sister, Carole Knoblese (William); ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
