James H. Stafford
James H. Stafford, 60, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in Branson, Missouri. The family will greet guests from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Friday September 1st at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, September 2nd in New Salem Cemetery, Independence.
Jim was born on February 14, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Lyle and Jane Stafford. He worked as a shop foreman for Wiedenmann Construction Co. for 36 years. Jim loved traveling and classic country music, and was a former pilot and race car enthusiast. He was a very easy going and simple man, and will be missed by many.
Jim is survived by his best friend, Rick Davis of Independence; one son, Curt (wife: Amy) Stafford of Blue Springs, Missouri; grandson, Brodie Stafford of Blue Springs; and two nephews, Darren and Travis Stafford.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Chris Stafford; and one brother, Bruce Stafford.
