James L. Rumbo
James Lee Rumbo, 82, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away at his home on October 27, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2nd at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
James was born July 1, 1939, in Monroe City, Missouri, to Buel and K. Louise (Reeder) Rumbo. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #392 AF & AM and of Union IBEW #53 of Kansas City. James attended United Methodist Church of Oak Grove. He enjoyed blacksmithing and shooting black powder, and also had a love for horses.
James was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Rumbo. He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary Rumbo of the home; daughter, Victoria Mosier (Randy) of Pleasant Hill; two sons, Anthony Rumbo (Tammy) of St. Charles, MO, and Larry Rumbo (Patty) of Grain Valley, MO; two sisters, Rev. Mary Biesemeyer (Allan) of Higginsville, MO, and Patricia Norcross; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
