James W. Stuckey

James William Stuckey, 71, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 22nd at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 21st at the funeral home.

James was born on July 5, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri. the son of James C. and Lorena (Brown) Stuckey. He was a Catholic and graduated from Lillis High School in Kansas City, MO. He served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1959. James was a detective for the Kansas City Police Department, retiring in 1988 after 28 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 499.

His survivors include one brother: Jerry Stuckey of Grain Valley; three sisters: M.L. DeCaigney of Kansas City, MO, Ruth Valdez of Midwest City, OK, & Rennie Williams of Holt, MO; and 40 nieces and nephews.
