Jane L. Due
Jane Louise Due, 79, of Lee’s Summit Missouri went to be with her Lord on July 16, 2022.
She was born on February 23, 1943 to Victor Leroy and Anna Jane Wilson. Jane had one Brother, Sonny, who passed away at age 2 – before she was born. Jane married Lloyd Caton on November 4th, 1961. She was the Mother of Bryan and Michael Caton. She married Billey J Due on February 14, 1985. Billey proceeded her in death on April 2nd, 2012. Billey and Jane were married for over “27 wonderful years”. Between the two of them, they had 6 children, Mike & Bryan, Bill’s children were Tim and Jim Due, Tina Martin, and Tammy Coborn. They had 24 Grand Children and 16 Great Grandchildren. Jane like to brag about her “142 grandchildren” but the real total is an even 40. Jane’s greatest love was her and Bill’s time with their grandchildren. This even included the food fight Bill started and got them all kicked out of the local McDonalds. Jane was the first Woman Officer on the Independence Police Department as a Meter Maid and is enshrined on the Independence Police department Honor Wall with her photo. While on the Police department Jane was a part of President Harry S Truman Funeral Guard from The Independence Police Department on December 28 1972. Jane & Billey operated the AT Ray Bed & Breakfast in Gallatin Mo for many years. Prior to starting the bed and breakfast, Jane and Bill remodeled the Queen Ann Victorian home which is still on the National Historic Register of Homes and in the Magazine of Victorian Painted ladies (The House Not Jane…). Jane retired from The Lake City Ammunition plant in Independence Missouri.
Visitation will be held on Friday July 22 at 2:00pm at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley Missouri. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00pm. A light meal and gathering to follow at: AIFF local 3133 Hall at 29210 SE AA Hwy, blue springs, MO 64014. Private burial will be Saturday 10:00 at the family cemetery in Dearborn Missouri.
