Jerald K. Wyatt
On Tuesday, October 11, 2022, Jerald Kynn Wyatt passed away at the age of 73. Jerald was an incredibly loving husband, an ever-wonderful father, an amazing brother, a marvelous gramps, a fun-loving and thought-provoking uncle, an all-around man of many, many talents and devout Christian.
Jerald was born on March 24, 1949 in Springfield, Missouri to William Edward and Evelyn Blanche Wyatt. He was lucky number 4, the only boy, in a family of 6 siblings. He met Dianne Yvonne Robinson in 1967 and they married in 1968. Jerald began as a lineman with Southwestern Bell and then climbed his way to become an executive with Lucent Technologies. They made a few moves early in his carrier, but settled in Colorado in 1984, staying there for nearly 40 years. Retiring at the young age of 50, Jerald and Dianne purchased a little clock shop that they ran together for 15 years. Jerald was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2016 and fought that battle tooth and nail with the help of his dear wife Dianne.
Jerald was an avid fisherman, highly skilled carpenter, master clockmaker, electrician, and explorer. He loved the great outdoors that Colorado offered. He was a big lover of Christ and his church, and volunteered much of his time there. He was incredibly empathic and had a heart of gold. Always positive, always kind, always offering a helping hand or just good, solid advice. He was a happy man, humming or whistling a tune throughout the day.
Jerald was preceded in death by this father, William, his mother, Evelyn, his sisters, Marsha Alcorn and Melinda Biggs, and his nephew, Donnie Alcorn.
He is survived by his wife Dianne, his three sons and their spouses, Nathan and Katrin, Nick and Brian, and Drew and Lindsay, his sisters and their spouses, Marilyn Briggs, Myrna and Ron McInturff, and Micki and John Melton, his grandchildren, Lauren, Makaela, Olivia, Ava, and Londyn, and his cousin Judy Labrie, and many nieces and nephews and their children, and their children’s children.
There will be two services held in Missouri.
First service will be a celebration of life held at Church of the Resurrection – Blue Springs on October 29th, 2022 from 10am to 12pm.

Second service will be an outdoor burial held at Eastlawn Cemetery in Springfield on October 30th, 2022 at 12pm.
