Jerry L. Rippee
Jerry L. Rippee, 69, of Oak Grove, MO passed away September 4, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2014 at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Jerry was born April 8, 1945 in Lebanon, MO to Elza & Gladys (Arkridge) Rippee.
Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran.
Jerry retired in 2008 after working 18 years at the VA Hospital.
Jerry was a heavy equipment operator by trade and a member of Union #101. He was also a member of New Life Assembly of God Church. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, tinkering with small engines and reading his Bible.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents: Elza & Gladys Rippee.
Jerry is survived by his wife Carol Rippee of the home; 2 daughters: Sheila Wright & husband Eric of Blue Springs, MO, Nancy Orjala of Dallas, TX; 1 son: Donald Langford & wife Terrie of Claycomo, MO; 4 grandchildren: Spencer Hill, Luke Orjala, Kristin Langford, Briana Langford;
1 sister: Linda DeBoard of North Kansas City, MO; 2 brothers: Donnie Rippee of Raytown, MO, Larry Rippee of Lebanon, MO.
