John C. Jons Jr.
John Charles Jons Jr., 89, of Centerview, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, MO. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
John was born February 6, 1934, in Independence, MO, the son of John and Elsie Jons Sr. He was good with his hands and enjoyed farming, raising cattle, watching RFD-TV auctions, and listening to Bluegrass music. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Oak Grove.
John was preceded in death by his parents, brother Paul Jons, and sister Jean Groves.
His survivors include his wife, Karlann Jons of the home; son, Kelly Jons (Amy) of Chardon, OH; daughter, Kathryn McKee (David) of Kansas City, MO; son, Kenneth Jons of Hawaii; son, Kurt Jons (Tina) of Oak Grove, MO; nine grandchildren: Jillianne, Jessica, Theo, Charlotte, Austin, Grant, Jake, Zach, and Sophie; and several great-grandchildren.
