John R. Moss

John Russell Moss, 74, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at his home after a long battle with cancer. A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley.

John was born on April 28, 1943 in Kansas City, MO. to John H. and Alma Moss. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1961. He married Judith (Galpin) Moss on February 1, 1964. He retired from General Motors in October 1999. John is preceded in death by his parents; John and Alma Moss.

John is survived by his wife, Judith Moss of the home; daughter, Johnna (Moss) Proud (Eric); son, Matthew Moss; grandchildren, Eric J. Proud II (Morgan), Kristina Goppert (Dusty) and Brenna Proud; great-grandchildren, Kimber Goppert and Jameson Proud; sister, Sylvia Antrim (Marvin); and brother, Jerry Moss (Shirley).
