Joyce S. Griffin

Joyce Sue Griffin, 62, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO. 

Memorial Services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 2 at the Duncan Road Church, 430 NE Duncan Rd., Blue Springs, MO.  The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 to 1:00 preceding the service.

Joyce was born August 11, 1950 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of James Dibben & Edith (Howerton) Dibben-LaQuet.  She married Craig P. Griffin on July 30, 1970.  Joyce was a Christian High School teacher.  She was a member of the Faith Covenant Church in Blue Springs.  Joyce was a faithful supporter of Operation Christmas Child.  She enjoyed scrapbooking whenever she found the time.

Preceding Joyce in death were her parents, a sister, and a son: Jason Griffin (1991).

Her survivors include her husband of 43 years, Craig Griffin of the home; daughter Ashley Loewen & husband Phil of Joliet, IL; son CJ Wyatt Griffin of Ft. Bragg, NC; three brothers: Richard Dibben of Bates City, Michael LaQuet of Liberty, MO, and Gerald LaQuet of Kansas City; two sisters: Janine Foster of Raytown, MO and Janelle Wynn of Millington, TN; and three grandchildren: Isaac, Harmony, and Ezekiel.
