Kenneth E. Greer Jr.

Kenneth E Greer Jr., 54, of De Soto, KS, formerly of Independence, MO, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Kenneth was born January 24, 1966 in Kansas City, MO, to Kenneth Greer Sr. and Meredith (Mercer) Greer.  He graduated from Fort Osage High School.  Ken worked for the Missouri Highway Department, Instinet and Reuters, doing IT work before joining Garmin.  He worked for Garmin for the last 13 years as a Software Quality Analyst.  Kenneth was a member of the Church of Christ.  He was married to Diana Petering in 1995.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Greer Sr. in 1988; his mother, Meredith Greer in 2008; a sister, Cleta Greer in 1996; and brother, Keith Greer in 2012.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Greer of De Soto, KS; three children: Kevin Greer, Kyle Greer, and Katy Greer; along with his sister, Cheryl Atchley of Olathe, KS.

At this time, there will be no memorial service.  The family has elected to cremate with a possible service in the future.
