Leon E. Morlang

Leon Eugene Morlang, 83, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife and daughter by his side on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

Leon was born on September 18, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Eugene R. and Edna C. Morlang. He graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1960, where he met his high school sweetheart and married Sharon on September 21, 1962. In 1966 they had their only daughter, Shelly. Leon enjoyed family vacations, motorcycle riding, fishing, boating, water skiing, and cruising the Caribbean. Most of all, he loved spending time with “My Girls” and enjoyed “Making Memories” together.

Leon’s survivors include his wife, Sharon Morlang; daughter, Michelle “Shelly” Morlang; brother-in-law, Leland Deering; extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Leland A. Deering; and mother-in-law, Ruth V. Deering.

As per Leon’s request, only private immediate family viewing and no memorial service is planned.
