Leroy E. Dillon, 82, of Independence, MO, passed away February 5, 2023.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023 at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home. Funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial at New Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: First Baptist Church of Independence, Independence, MO.

Leroy was born July 3, 1940 in Hanford, CA to Roy & Dolly (Marquess) Dillon. He loved auctions and buying and reselling items. Leroy was an Auctioneer for many years and owned Grampa’s Used Furniture Store.

Leroy was preceded in death by his wife Ann; parents: Roy & Dolly Dillon; son: Johnnie “Jack” Marquess, Jr; 3 sisters; 1 brother.

Leroy is survived by sons: Stephen Dillon (Mary) of Independence, MO, Coleman Marquess (Ashley) of Grain Valley, MO, Leroy Dillon, Jr.; daughters: Mary Ann Wendleton (TJ) of Independence, MO, Brenda Rogers (Richard) of Sedalia, MO, Tammie Salmons (Hank), Lisa Lamm (Robert), Jerri Koplish (Craig) of Gillette, WY, Lisa Hamilton (Ernie) of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; brother: Matt Dillon (Sue), sisters: Dolly Cobb, Leona Walters.
