Marion P. Spear
Marion P. Spear, 82, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19th at First Baptist Church, Oak Grove; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church.
Marion was born December 6, 1933, in Louisburg, Missouri, the son of Joseph E. and Nora A. (Harris) Spear. He owned Spear Excavating & Construction and was a member of the 101 Operating Engineer Union. Marion was also a member of First Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge #324. He enjoyed gardening and horses, and especially loved his family and grandchildren.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Merlee and Wanda; and two brothers, Edward and Dennis.
His survivors include his wife, Rosalie Spear of the home; daughter, Carol Spear of Oak Grove; two sons: Micheal Spear (Bernita) of Richmond MO, and Larry Spear of Oak Grove; one brother, Joe Spear of Pleasant Hope, MO; four grandchildren: Brad Spear, April Dalen, Lindy Burk, and Micheal Spear; five great-grandchildren: Katie Spear, Becca Harris, Hunter Spear, Addison Burk, and Carson Burk; and one great great-grandchild, Bowen Harris.
