Max Brown
Max Brown, 93, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 22nd in Lone Jack Cemetery, Lone Jack, MO.
Max was born April 18, 1925, in Leeton, Missouri, the son of Fred L. and Nellie V. (McBride) Brown. He was a Navy Veteran, serving during WWII on the USS Iowa. Max was a firefighter and retired as Captain from the Independence Fire Department. He liked to fish and go on vacations.
Max was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: James and Earl Brown; his first wife, Margie Brown; and grandson, Bryan Brown.
His survivors include his wife, Dorothy of the home; four children: Ed Brown, Phil Brown, Julie Brown, and Tim Brown, all of Independence; one brother, F.L. Brown of Whitfield, KS; twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
