Rena K. Peterson

Rena Kay Peterson, 45, of Richmond, MO, passed away on August 26, 2023.  She was born June 8, 1978 in Gladstone, Missouri.  Rena was the daughter of John Howard and Barbara Jean Small of Gladstone, Missouri.  She has two sisters, Tamara Michelle Pittman of Lebanon, Missouri and Christina Marie Marshall of Gladstone, Missouri.  Rena also has an adopted son, Edward (Eddie) Haynes of Richmond, Missouri.  Rena married Phillip (Phil) Eugene Peterson on August 3, 1996 in Smithville, Missouri and they made their home in Richmond, Missouri.  She has many uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Rena attended New Mark Middle School and North Kansas City High School where she was active in Swing Choir.  She always had a love of music and life.  She loved helping others and had a great love for all kinds of animals.  Rena will always be remembered with love for her joy of life, laughter, the need to help others in need, and her funny jokes. She is such a beautiful spirit and will always be in our hearts … we love you Ren-Ren!
