Renate Phillips
Renate Phillips (formerly Ward, nee Stoffregen), 72, passed away July 24, 2023, at 5:09pm at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri.
Renate is survived by her son Huston Ward (Susan), her mother Elfriede Stoffregen, her older brother Hans Stoffregen (Mary), her sister Dottie Chaffin (Jim), and her younger brother Michael Stoffregen (Diana), her nieces Margaret Kincaid (Chris), Sarah Heine (Jeff), and Savannah Malcolm (Nolan). She had 4 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.
Renate was a caring and warm person who strived to let the world know that they are cared for and loved. Many people knew her as a second mother, a sister, a friend, and a confidante. Although we hate to see the world lose another light, we know that it was much brighter with her in it. She will be missed.
The Remembrance Service will be held at 1:00pm on September 16th at The Rock of Ages Church located at 15300 Texas Road, St. Robert, Missouri. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, in honor of Renate, please consider donating to a local animal rescue service, Humane Society, or Library.
