Ruby M. Francis

Ruby Mae (Spoor) Francis, of Richmond, MO passed away at her home November 6, 2021.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home; Independence, MO. Funeral service will follow at 11a.m. Burial at New Salem Cemetery.

Ruby was born September 11, 1941 in Koshkonong, MO to Charley E. & Velma A. (Sills) Spoor. She married Duane Francis on July 7, 1959. Ruby enjoyed spending time with extended family, traveling, camping and fishing. She was always ready for an adventure. Ruby enjoyed quilting as well as other crafts and gardening.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Duane Francis; son: Ronnie Francis; daughter in law: LeAnn Francis; her parents, 3 sisters, and 1 brother.

Ruby is survived by son: Dennis Duane Francis of Richmond, MO; daughter: Jane (Francis) and husband Ron Martino of Blue Springs, MO; 3 grandchildren: Jeremy Martino, Rachel Martino both of Blue Springs, MO, Ethan Francis and Lauren of Kearney, MO; her companion: Louis Whiteside; 5 sisters: Lillian Weiss, Shirley Smith, Alice Guilliams (Bob), Ellen Francis, Evelyn Wiggs (Clifford); 1 brother: Joe Spoor
