Sandra “Sandy” L. O’Donnell
Sandra “Sandy” Lynn O’Donnell, 68, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27th at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Sandy was born on May 13, 1952, in Lexington, Missouri, the daughter of Bobby D. and Mayme E. “Sweet Pea” (Stricklin) Ward. She had worked in production at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. Sandy liked going to Lake of the Ozarks, boating on the pontoon, and swimming. She enjoyed going on road trips and was able to take her grandkids to Mount Rushmore and area sites before getting sick. Sandy loved playing Pinochle and Double Solitaire. She even enjoyed teaching the nurses how to play.
Sandy was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Mark Ward; grandson, Taylor Johnson; and sister-in-law, Joyce Ford.
Her survivors include her mother, Sweet Pea; her husband of 48 years, Lonnie O’Donnell; daughter, Kendra Johnson (Chris); two sons: Eric O’Donnell (Danielle) and Herbert Shroyer; four grandchildren: Alex Johnson, Sydney Johnson, Kailyn O’Donnell, and Peyton O’Donnell; brother, Warren Ward; sister-in-law, Betty Lewis; sister-in-law, Jane Ward; and several nieces and nephews.
