Stanford J. Green Sr.
Stanford “Stan” Jewell Green Sr., 78, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Stan was born in Oak Grove, MO, on October 30, 1939, son of Jewell and Mable (Warren) Green. He was a farmer, a truck driver, a mechanic, later in life a musician and a friend to all. When he was younger he especially loved to travel. He was a free spirit that loved wide open spaces. He had a large love of life, of God and was dedicated to his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Russell W. Green; and sister, Katherine P. Campbell.
Stan’s survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jackie L. Green; son, Stanford J. Green Jr.; 2 daughters, Loretta D. Jones and Regina D. Smith; 4 grandchildren, Nichole Wolfe, Jacoby Green, Shelby Smith and Riley Smith; a great-grandson, Jaydon Sprouse; and 3 son-in-laws.
