Susan Anne Drummond of Sedalia died on Friday, October 4,2024, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Mo. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 10,2024 at 2:00 pm. at Royer’s Funeral Home, 100 Royer Lane, Grain Valley, Mo. 64029 Visitation will start at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow

Born September 14,1950 in Waterloo, Iowa, Susie was the daughter of Dorothy and Steve Berend, who later moved their 7 young children to Oak Grove, Mo.

She was married to Richard Drummond right after graduation in June of 1968. She had 2 children with him, Kimberly and Ricky. They later moved to Blue Springs. They also adopted a daughter Jamie and raised their nephew, John. She became an entrepreneur and over the years, owned and operated several different businesses.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, and her son Ricky as well as both parents and a sister.

Survivors include her daughter Kimberly Drummond of Oak Grove, her adopted daughter Jamie Van Sittert, Sedalia; nephew John Van Sittert, Lone Jack; grandsons: Brandon Pittman, Oak Grove, Chris Drummond, Holden; great grandchildren: Logan, Liam, and Reagan Pittman, Oak Grove; Brothers: Jody Berend and David Berend; Sisters: Jocelyn Slack, Sheryl Berend, June Jester; as well as many nieces and nephews.
