Trent A. Borland
Trent Alan Borland, 44, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Contributions may be made for his children’s education in care of the church.
Trent was born April 5, 1972, in Independence, Missouri. He married Stephanie M. Garrett in July 1995. Trent was a GPS Surveyor for Kidwell Construction. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, working on cars and old machinery, and Sporting KC. Trent loved church activities at First Baptist Church, where he had been a Sunday School teacher and was a big part of the Awana program, and had been nominated as a Deacon in training. He loved spending time with his dad and his family, and especially loved his daughters and watching them play sports.
Trent was preceded in death by his grandparents: Lyle & Wilma Borland, John Keck, and William & Ruby Hobbs.
His survivors include his wife, Stephanie Borland of the home; two daughters, Megan & Makayla Borland of the home; his father & stepmother, Keith & Cindy Borland of Oak Grove; his mother, Marilyn McCarrick of Higginsville, MO; sister & brother-in-law, Mandy & Steve Griggs of Oak Grove; brother & sister-in-law, Shawn & Sheila McCarrick of Leawood, KS; his grandmother, Mary Ellen Keck of Oak Grove; his mother-in-law, Barbara Martin of Independence, MO; and many other family members and friends.
