Virginia P. Sims
Virginia Pearl Sims, 91, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs. Memorial services and a balloon release will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30th at the community park in New Albany, Indiana.
Virginia was born March 6, 1925 in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Otto and Ida C. (Vogt) Winsatt. She was a nurse’s aide at several nursing homes in Kentucky. Virginia loved to sew and crochet. She made sweaters, bonnets, & booties for all the new babies in the family.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings: Raymond, Junior, Libby, & Ida May; her husband, Earl; one son, Albert; and one daughter, Mary.
Her survivors include four daughters: Shirley, Martha, Janie, & Kay; two sons: Billy & Russell; two sisters: Betty Jean & Martha, one brother, Bradley; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
