Willie Penamon IV
Willie Penamon IV, 19, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Monday April 4, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 8th at Eastside Baptist Church, 19901 Missouri 78, Independence, MO 64057. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to the family.
Willie was born May 23, 1996 in Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Willie Penamon Jr. and Amy Dawn Logan. He attended Grandview University in Des Moines, Iowa with a major in Business. He was a 2015 graduate of Fort Osage High School, where he was known as a basketball star. He will be remembered as a loving and awesome young man, whose smile could warm your heart. He loved spending time with his family and his beloved Pitbull, Ryder.
Willie was survived by his father, Willie Penamon Jr.; his mother, Amy Dawn Logan, both of Independence; 10 Siblings: Willie III, Elijah, Jaeden, Christian, Nicholas, Adrien, Xavier and Asia Penamon, all of Independence, Anthony Conner of Ottawa, KS, and Tyrenna Barber of Wichita, KS; maternal grandmother, Debbie Logan of Lawrence, KS; paternal grandparents: Willie Penamon of Atlanta, GA and Deloris Ford of Louise, MS; maternal great grandparents, Bill and Sandy Gurley of Lawrence, KS; maternal step grandparents, Sharon and Billy Rayton of Wichita, KS; paternal step grandmother, Elisabeth Laszlo-Berkoben of Woodland, ME; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Russell Logan.
